David Bernstein

David has over 30 years experience as a colorist, including tenures with Pacific Ocean Post, The Post Group, Universal’s HD Telecine Center, Ascent Media and Technicolor. He joins Roundabout after a 5-year stretch at Sony’s Colorworks facility, where he specialized in 4k restoration and HDR mastering from the studio's extensive library. As an avid movie fan, he is thrilled to be a part of the preservation of some of Hollywood’s treasures. He has successfully collaborated with some of the industry's leading filmmakers, and among his early mastering credits are some of Hollywood’s top features, including Titanic and Moulin Rouge, while more recent HDR mastering work includes the original Spiderman and Men in Black trilogies.

A Chicago native, Bernstein began his career at Crawford Communications, Atlanta where his projects ranged from commercials to feature mastering. While there he was proud to have collaborated with Jeffry Selznick, son of legendary producer David O. Selznick, on the 50th anniversary edition of Gone With The Wind. During the span of his career he has received five International Monitor Awards for color grading.
